Name:
 Atlus
Gender: Male
Age: 21
Height: 5'6"
Weight: 135lbs

Personality:

Atlus is an old soul. He is often solitary and can usually be found in deep thought, or in a daydream. He is always kind, mature and compassionate towards others, and goes out of his way to help those who need it. He is also carefree and honest, and does not mind being an ear to listen to others, or being a shoulder to cry on. Sometimes he has a hard time paying attention, especially if surrounded by nature or animals, which fascinate him. He appears the most energetic when traveling and exploring new places, as he enjoys the adventure. Atlus has a lot of patience so it takes a lot to make him angry. He doesn't really talk about his own problems and prefers to keep them to himself and focus on the needs of others instead. It's always been hard for him to truly open up to others and form bonds due to his constant traveling.

Song of choice:

I Was Born For This - Austin Wintory

Track description/interpretation:

The ending track to the PS3 game Journey. The lyrics are a collection of quotes from famous literature originating from different cultures. To me it is gentle, yet profound and speaks of the journey of life itself and of the transition into death, just as it is portrayed in the game. No matter what the outcome is, what matters most is the experience one has on their journey through life and they need not be pitied for it coming to an end. It is a bittersweet and hauntingly beautiful arrangement.

Track history:

From a young age, Atlus had experienced other lands and cultures through his parents traveling abroad for work. As a result, he grew up learning multiple languages at once from both his parents and his surroundings. He was a quiet child that kept himself busy with books and exploring the outside world in small doses. He would look for flowers to draw or trees to sleep in, or watch ants work in the grass. Every living thing fascinated him. Due to the constant moving as a child, he never really made any close friends before. He was occasionally lonely because of this, but his parents were loving towards him and his love of exploration kept him busy enough not to dwell on it. When he was old enough to be on his own, he decided to return to his home at Radio City to take care of himself. Eventually he got a job as a translator so he could support himself. He dreams of one day being able to travel the whole world in one continuous trip, to see all the beauty the world has to offer.

Additional:

• He's not much for material possessions, though he does fancy tiny souvenirs from his travels from time to time
