Gallade was caught and trained as a Ralts by Locke in the Hoenn region. He values honor, and as such he never gives up in battle, even if he is on the verge of fainting. In that sense he can be seen as stubborn sometimes, refusing to return to his pokeball without winning as he finds it shameful. Outside of battle he acts in a very knightly way, or as a gentleman towards female pokemon.
